TiE Young Entrepreneurs (TYE)

TYE is a global initiative by TiE that empowers high school students (grades 9–12) to develop entrepreneurial skills through experiential learning. The program spans approximately 9 months, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, and culminates in a Global Entrepreneurship Competition where students pitch their business ideas. Throughout the program, participants engage in workshops, receive mentorship from industry leaders, and collaborate in teams to ideate, develop, and present startup concepts. TYE fosters creativity, leadership, and a growth mindset, preparing students to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Program Structure

The TYE program is structured to provide a comprehensive entrepreneurial experience:

Phase 1: Entrepreneurship & Leadership Workshops

Students participate in eight sessions focusing on entrepreneurship and leadership development. Topics include professional communication, creating a LinkedIn profile, conducting informational interviews, and building a professional network.

Phase 2: Ideation and Team Formation

To foster entrepreneurship globally through Mentoring, Networking, Education, Incubating, Investing.

Phase 3: Business Development and Mentorship

Teams work on their business models using tools like the Lean Canvas, focusing on aspects such as unique value proposition, customer segmentation, and revenue streams. They receive guidance from experienced mentors throughout this phase.

Phase 4: Regional and Global Competitions

Teams compete at the regional level, and winning teams advance to the TYE Global Finals, where they pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for cash prizes and recognition.
