Following the charter with which TiE was formed more than 3 decades ago, our vision is to continue to build on that philosophy and establish a dynamic and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Mysuru that celebrates and complements the city’s rich cultural heritage while fostering innovation and growth across sectors, including arts, crafts, agri-tech, food-tech etc. This ecosystem should support first-time entrepreneurs with the resources and mentorship they need to transform their ideas into successful, sustainable ventures.

In January 2025, TiE Mysuru hosted an inspiring event celebrating innovation and leadership. The Masterclass by Mr. Kiran Bettadapur, Director of Blaze Ventures, focused on “Market-Oriented, Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship,” where he emphasized the importance of identifying market gaps for disruptive innovation and leveraging patents to create a strong competitive advantage. The event also featured the Leadership Installation Ceremony, where Dr. Mahesh Rao passed the baton to the new President, Mr. Bhaskar Kalale, who shared his vision for strengthening Mysuru’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

How to Use Al & Agents for Automation & Massive Business Growth

TiE Mysuru successfully hosted a high-impact Masterclass on “How to Use AI & Agents for Automation & Massive Business Growth” on Saturday, 24th May 2025, at Hotel Southern Star, Mysuru.

Led by Mr. Anirudh Narayan, Co-founder & CGO at Lyzr.ai, the session witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of 100+ participants, comprising entrepreneurs, professionals, and tech enthusiasts.

The power-packed session explored the fundamentals and practical applications of Generative AI—highlighting its growing importance for business innovation. Mr. Anirudh walked the audience through various cutting-edge AI tools and demonstrated real-world use cases that sparked immense interest.

The second half of the session focused on AI Agents—how to automate workflows efficiently and how even small businesses can leverage agents to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

What truly set the masterclass apart was the highly interactive Q&A, where attendees posed thought-provoking questions, and the speaker addressed each with practical demonstrations using live tools.

The evening concluded on a high note with a networking high tea, where ideas were exchanged, connections were made, and the excitement around AI continued to buzz.

A heartfelt moment during the event was when Harsha Kikkeri’s mother took the stage and sincerely thanked TiE Mysuru and its members for their unwavering support during their difficult times.

TiE Mysuru Hosts Engaging Workshop on Powerful Storytelling

TiE Mysuru recently hosted a Foundational Series workshop on Powerful Storytelling, led by Mr. Sachin Bhandary, Founder of The Story Co. & Story Club. The session offered practical insights into using storytelling as a powerful tool in business and leadership.

Sachin highlighted that while storytelling comes naturally to us, we often lose that skill in professional spaces. Through engaging activities, participants explored three impactful formats — Origin Stories, Connection Stories, and Leadership Stories — and learned how to craft and share their narratives with confidence.

A key takeaway was the concept of Storyflection — discovering meaningful stories from everyday experiences. With over 90 entrepreneurs and business leaders in attendance, the session sparked reflection, connection, and vibrant conversation.

The event also celebrated a milestone with the launch of the new TiE Mysuru website, unveiled by the Board and Charter Members. The atmosphere was inspiring, reaffirming TiE Mysuru’s mission to nurture entrepreneurial growth and learning.

TiE Mysuru’s Founder’s Series on March 22 featured a fireside chat with entrepreneurial couple Harsha and Urvashi Melanta, moderated by Ashwin Dange. Harsha shared his journey from launching Grand Tour Advertising in 2000 to entering the hospitality industry with ‘By The Way’ in 2013, followed by Fish Curry Rice, Mysore Union, and North Avenue. Urvashi spoke about her transition from HR to entrepreneurship, emphasizing mutual support in their success. The duo highlighted the importance of partnerships, hard work, discipline, and luck, with Harsha defining success through Family, Friends, Finance, and Fitness. Now among Bangalore’s top caterers, they aim to expand in outdoor catering and décor. The session ended with an engaging Q&A, leaving the audience inspired.
February 2025 saw another impactful TiE Masterclass featuring Mr. N. Ravi Shankar, CEO of Aim High Consulting, who spoke on “Positioning in Today’s World.” He emphasized that “Strategy is Sacrifice,” highlighting the importance of making deliberate choices for strategic clarity. He also discussed evolving customer expectations and how businesses must stay agile to remain relevant. The event featured engaging discussions, valuable insights on brand messaging, and active participation from attendees. TiE Mysuru extends its gratitude to all members and participants for making this session a success. Stay tuned for more insightful events!
